AWANA CALENDAR (Items with an * designate nights we need help from the congregation)
September 21: Crazy Caps- wear your craziest hat. Wear lots of them, tiny ones, big ones, spotted, striped, or animal print. Make it as crazy as you can.
September 28: Super Sports Night- pick your favorite sport or sport’s team and dress to it off.
October 5: When I Grow Up- what do you want to be when you grow up? Dress like a teacher, fireman, football player, astronaut; whatever your heart’s desire.
October 12: It’s a Jungle Out There- lions and tigers and bears, OH MY!
October 19: Pumpkin Patch Party- wear orange!
*October 26: Trunk or Treat! Church members decorate your trunks with any theme, bring candy, and set up games for the kids. Kids, wear your best costumes (nothing scary, please).
November 2: Inside Out Night- wear your clothes inside out for a crazy night of fun.
November 9: Tutti Fruity Night- don’t upset the fruit basket!
*November 16: Bakesgiving- wear something you don’t mind getting dirty, just in case. We are decorating cookies for you to give to your friends and family. Church members, please provide prebaked sugar cookies and chocolate chip (NO NUTS PLEASE).
November 23: NO CLUBS
November 30: Down on the Farm- dress up as a tractor, a farmer, or your favorite farm animal. We promise not to stink up the place or leave it a pig sty.
December 7: Christmas Favorites- what’s your favorite thing about Christmas- the tree, angels, shepherds, presents, the lights, snowmen?
*December 14: 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland Snowball Fight- Church members, please save up your newspapers and boxes. We will need them for this all-out war between the boys and the girls (girls won last time, so boys, you’ve got something to prove…
December 21: Birthday Jamboree- let’s celebrate Christmas for all the right reasons.
December 28: NO CLUBS
January 4: Pajama Jam- come wearing your favorite pj’s. Footed pajamas and slippers welcome (please bring a pair of sneakers for game time).
January 11: Bring a Friend Night
January 18: Black Out Night- No lights besides flashlights (bring your own).
January 25: Crazy Socks Night
February 1: Team Colors Night- represent your team colors however you can… blue, red, green, or yellow.
February 8: Valentine’s Party
February 15: UFO Night- Aliens have landed at Calvary Road! Look out! Strange sightings everywhere!
February 22: Circus Night- clowns, animals, cotton candy… it’s a circus in here.
February 29: Leapin Lizards- it’s leap year and we are celebrating our favorite green friends.
