Calvary Road Baptist Church

Welcome to Calvary Road Baptist Church! Thanks for taking the time to visit our website. We are a new church with a desire to minister to the good people of southern Chesapeake, but long to serve anyone who God leads our way.
Calvary Road was started with a vision of reaching those who like a more traditional worship. You know, things like hymns and Southern Gospel music which unfortunately seem to have become a rare commodity nowadays. They form the bulk of our worship, but from time to time we do throw some modern worship songs in the mix too. Our main goal in worship is less about music style and more about worshiping the Lord with all our hearts. We preach Jesus, a bloody cross, an empty tomb, the second coming, and the forgiveness of sins. The preaching is book by book, and verse by verse because that is the way it was written. We believe the Word of God has the power to change lives.
The people of Calvary Road are loving, welcoming, hard working, and sweet. They remind you of the way church used to be. Nothing fancy here, just simple folk living in Christ. Maybe this is the type of church you have been trying to find. If it is, why don't you come visit us. We would love to meet you. We are currently meeting at Mt. Pleasant Christian School, located at 1631 Mt. Pleasant Road in Chesapeake, just 1/4 mile east of Centerville Turnpike (enter from the Elmhurst Ave side). Sunday school starts at 9 AM, followed by our Worship service at 10:30 AM. Come see how God is moving at Calvary Road!
If you have any questions about how you can become part of this exciting church, please contact me by email pastor@calvaryroadbcva.org or you can reach me by phone at (757)635-1273. I look forward to hearing from you.
